The best stop for the Discovery Space is North Wollongong station. Then we’re just a free 9-minute bus ride away. The ‘9’ bus stops at the front of the Discovery Space, while then ‘9N’ bus stops a few minutes walk away at the UOW bus terminal.

If you’re planning to drive please note:

1. Weekday paid parking applies on the University of Wollongong campus. Our closest carpark is the P4 Western Car Park. Please see here for information about the Pay As You Go (PAYG) ticketless parking system through the CellOPark app that is now available at the University of Wollongong!
2. For our valued Discovery Space Visitors and Members who travel to campus with three or more people in your vehicle, free parking has been made available in P4 as preferred carpark, but also in P3, P4, P5 north and P8 (any signposted designated sections of the ‘casual carpark’). To be eligible, you must have a booking to the Discovery Space with three or more people. Validation will occur via the QR code and/or iPad inside the Discovery Space after entry.  Simply scan the QR code and enter the vehicle licence plate/ registration number of the vehicle parked on campus to receive free parking. Please note there is a 15-minute window between parking your vehicle and arriving to the Discovery Space.
3. Weekend parking on campus is free and there’s plenty of it!
4. RMS mobility permit holders may park in any parking bay free of charge. We also have limited disabled parking bays in our underground car park.

Groups coming by chartered bus can utilise the bus bay located directly outside the Discovery Space entrance on Ring Road. This is the safest and most convenient drop off and pick up location for groups. All buses must enter via the Eastern Entrance (Corner of Irvine and Northfields Avenue) and follow the Ring Road to the entrance of the Discovery Space (on your left). See the Directional Map for details. Please note access to the bus bay is for passenger drop-off and pick-up only. Parking is not available.

Members have access to a limited number of FREE undercover parks on weekdays. This is based on availability at the time of your arrival and not guaranteed. Use of the carpark is bound by the Discovery Space Membership Terms and Conditions. In summary:

1. The members car park is only available to members for the specific purpose of attending the Early Start Discovery Space and only opens 15 minutes prior to our opening time.
2. The members car park is only available for use for the duration of your visit to the Discovery Space. All members vehicles must be removed by close of business each day.
3. A limit of one vehicle per membership, per day is allowed in the members car park.
4. Members who travel to campus with three or more people in the vehicle, free parking has been made available in P4 as preferred carpark, but also in P3, P4, P5 north and P8 (any signposted designated sections of the ‘casual carpark’).
